Essaouira Ya Mogador

Essaouira is a beautiful westen Atlantic coast city in Morocco , it was called sidi Magdoul in the 16th century , but after the occupation of portuguese its name changed to Mogador.

It feels good to get lost in its medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), discover or rediscover its charm. Its traditional riads, arts and craft, its alleyways, its colorful stalls make Essaouira a city of unquestioned magic, and every stay inside its walls becomes lasting memories.

Mohammed ben Abdallah encouraged Moroccan Jews to live in Essaouira and manage the trade with Europe. Jews once represented 30% of the population, and the Jewish mellah contains many old jewesh stores.

Essaouira nowdays is well known by his Gnaoua International Festival
